Luke Bryan’s Wife Used to Be the Breadwinner of the Family

LUKE BRYAN was on “Pickler & Ben” talking about the on-again off-again relationship he and his wife Caroline had before they finally settled down.  You may know the story.  They met in college but couldn’t seem to stay together.

Quote, “What’s amazing about us is, we’d date a little in college, and then we’d break up.  And then I would be devastated.  And then we’d get back together, and break up.  Then she would be devastated.

“And then we finally decided we’re not going to break up anymore and then I graduate college and she has two more years . . . and we break up again.  It was like the dark ages for both of us.”

That split lasted over five years, which he says kind of worked out because that’s when he went to Nashville to do the music thing.  She finished college, and started her career. But he still wasn’t pulling in much coin when they made it official.

Quote, “When we got married, her career supported me when I was making about $10,000 a year.  She was the one bringing in the dough.”
