GARTH BROOKS: Stadium Tour Starts!

“If you run, jog, start anything, the beginning is always the hardest – those first two steps,” Garth Brooks observed before taking the stage for the first concert of his very first Stadium TourSaturday night in St. Louis. By the time all was said and done hours later, he’d done his share of running, jogging and flat-out working the stage in every direction as he played song after song for more than 70-thousand people gathered in The Done at America’s Center.

“You’re not going to believe what you see when you walk in there,” the entertainer shared prior to the concert. “My breath went away and I know it! I was in on the drawings of it!” The crowd was treated to a long list of songs that included fan favorites, chart-topping hits and deep album cuts – starting with “The Road I’m On” and “All Day Long” from his forthcoming album FUN!, Garth and his band burned through 30 songs! Wife Trisha Yearwood, whose Trisha’s Tailgate event prior to the show had to be cancelled due to inclement and threatening weather, even made a surprise appearance!

“They’ll mark this as…‘the night that wouldn’t end’,” Garth jokes. “It won’t be this set-list ever again,” he added, explaining that the St. Louis audience got to see his team try out all sorts of things as they launched the tour, which he’s said will run for the coming three years. “In my head, I’ve got my notebook and I am taking notes with everything that’s going on. And the goal is to kind of beat each show with the next one
