The Running of the Leprechauns was the unique idea of Mike Kelly and hosted at Kelly’s Outer Banks Catering Group every St. Patrick’s Day weekend since 2008. The 15th anniversary race includes a 10K and a 5K. Package pick-up/athlete check-in is at Swells’a Brewing in KDH on FRIDAY, March 17th. Late registration for the two runs is Saturday morning from 7- 7:45. Race starts @ 8 am. 9 am there’s a post race party with food, music & beer (it may be green). 9:30 am is AWARDS Ceremony with finisher medals for all runners who complete the race. Overall awards will go to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers in each of two distances.
Local & regional schools are encouraged to take part as there’ll be a special incentive for the school with the most school representation (as well as a special rate to run in either of the two races).
