Let’s merrily welcome the Holiday Season! The 2022 Holiday Celebration & Grand Illumination event is always the official start of the holiday season in Elizabeth City!

Few things build connections like an old-fashioned holiday celebration where the community comes together for the official “lighting of the holiday lights” on Main Street followed by caroling, hot cocoa, whispering your gift wishes into Santa’s ear, and many other activities. Elizabeth City Downtown Inc. will be partnering with downtown businesses to organize a festive evening of fun to start the holiday season off in a Merry way. The event will be held Friday, November 25, 6-8 pm, beginning with the lighting ceremony at the Pasquotank County Courthouse (206 E. Main Street) and will continue down Main Street toward the waterfront.

Entertainment and Christmas Carols and many amazing kid- and family-oriented activities/experiences. Details will be announced prior to the event.
