A parade of festively decorated and lighted boats will circle the harbor for your festive enjoyment! Join us starting at 4pm on December 2nd for a special holiday-themed First Friday ArtWalk and walk to the waterfront at 7pm to watch the lighted boat parade.
Skiffs, sailboats, and pontoon boats with lights galore and crews of costumed holiday characters circle the waterfront for a cheering audience watching from land with joyful holiday background music. This year the Coast Guard is evening joining in the fun. On land at the Winter Wonderland of Mariners’ Wharf, enjoy free glow sticks for kids and adults, a wandering Santa, the local Fire Department on site talking with kids and giving out fire safety coloring books, free cookies and hot cocoa. Downtown shops and restaurants stay open late and host guest artists and musicians.

The Lighted Boat Parade is a great partnership between the Pasquotank River Yacht Club, Elizabeth City Downtown, the City of Elizabeth City, and the U.S. Coast Guard.
